Keri saw the girl was hunched over something.
A weapon? No way!
Keri hurdled over a trash can the girl had thrown to the grown.
"SLOW DOWN!" Keri screamed at the top of her lungs.
A crowd of people in the alleys parted like the read sea for the two, eyes full of wonder and fear.

"Like hell!" She said, turning a corner, her sneakers falling out from user her due to the treads being so worn down, and she jumped back up an kept running, wanting to get to the woods where it was HER territory and was out of public eye.

As her voice broke through the atmosphere, a fresh wave of adrenaline flooded her veins.
She picked up speed, running after the girl at top speed.
Keri was goin to have this girl killed.

Saffron jumped over the sidewalk and broke into the trees of the woods, and after making sure anyone else was nearby, turned around and slid to a halt.

Keri slammed into the girl, finally getting a good look at her face.
She panted, staring at her.
Defined features and pale skin, she was attractive.
She looked like someone Keri would have been friends with. If she wasn't a murderer.

Saffron was tred of running. Her breath was shirt. She was just slammed into.
But SOMEHOW she managed to start laughing.
Bent-over, CRYING laughing.
She put the gun away so she could lean up against a tree she was laughing so hard.
She tried stopping several times, making eye contact, before going into a laughing spree again.
She didn't know why she was laughing, much less why she was laughing so hard, but her eyeliner was coming down her face in rivers.
"OH MY GOD-"
More laughing.
"Jesus SAVE MY-"
More laughing. She had counted at least five tears had rolled down her face from the sheer holarity of her statement.
Maybe she did know why she was laughing.
Relief. Exhaustion.
Exhaustion -She had stayed for tree days straight doing gory and nerve-wracking work, then watched and helped Shiva recover, before finally letting him stay alone at her place while she went into town.
Relief- she wasn't her to tak her back to the science labs.
And she was being hounded by someone who was looking for someone she actually HADN'T KILLED.
"WHOOOOOOOOO- OKAY-" she paused before laughing again. "OOOOOKAY- I'M GOOD-"
Saffron erupted into laughter again.
"Sorry, sorry, sorry-" she said, whipping away her eyeliner. "Oh god, what were you saying again?"

Keri screamed, shoving the girl to the forest floor.
Keri was seething with rage.
Her fingertips burned to take her head and snap it at an odd angle.
She wanted to watch this girl die.
Somehow she had the balls to murder someone Keri cared about. Then LAUGH about it?!
"You think you can murder my friend AND LAUGH ABOUT IT?! I should murder you right here! Just like you did to Shiva!"

"Shiva?! Nah. I-I was going to get FOOD! Then you had to come along! Do you KNOW how hard it is to buy food when someone suddenly CHASES you for no reason?! And says you kills someone you didn't kill?! Hell, I did the opposite! Lil' shit passed out and was BLEEDING out, like, right under me, so-"
She coughed, and smiled involuntarily.
"And for three DAYS I took some metal out of his rib cage and stitched him back up! Goddamn moron- you have the wrong person!"

Keri let out a long, high pitched screech that only Selina and Auggie would hear.
She'd been modified in the lab to work a bit like a dog whistle in a crisis.
To Saffron it would look like she'd simply opened her mouth very wide.
