Keri shoved Shiva back again, rage lighting a dangerous flame in her eyes.
“You’re disgusting!” she screamed, Felina tugged her at her friend’s wings, trying to get her to leave him be.
Everest was collecting firewood, and Felina and Auggie were desperately trying to break apart the two.
“I hate you!” She screamed again, giving her wings a forceful jerk downwards, her friend stumbling back in horror, her tail grazing the fire they’d started several hours earlier, Keri had never purposefully hurt a member of her little family.
Keri didn't even look back at her, she just kept at Shiva.
Keri shoved Shiva back again, the boy falling into the dirt, the flames from the camp fire dancing on his pale face, his eyes filled with terror. He’d never seen Keri this way.
“Y-You love me!” Shiva barked, struggling up from his spot on the ground. “You said so yourself!”
“I loved the you that wasn’t a monster!” Keri roared, kicking her friend back to the ground.
“SELINA IS DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU!” Keri screamed again, her roars of anger interrupting the serene silence of the forest. She swung her boot at his ribs again.
“Stop hitting me!” Shiva growled. Shiva felt rage and adrenaline flood his veins, the animal side of him kicking in.Even if he wanted to, he wouldn't be able to stop himself. He bared his fangs and lunged for Keri.
Keri didn’t have time to react properly, she was slammed onto the ground of the forest, blurring the screams of Auggie and Felina.
Shiva scratched at Keri’s face, the girl frantically flapping her wings to try and get away.
“Shiva stop it!” Felina screamed,that was no use of course, Shiva kept at it, snapping at Keri’s neck, his pupils tiny slits in what were usually compassionate eyes.
Black feathers flew in the light of the fire, Keri screaming, trying to escape from what she thought was her friend. Shiva's fingernails extended into sharp talons, swinging at Keri's face and wings.
Keri felt blood trickle down her cheek onto her neck from a wound somewhere on her face.
“Shiva!” Felina pleaded, yanking at his jacket sleeve.
Out of her peripheral Keri saw Everest return from the forest. He dropped the firewood abruptly and darted to help Felina.
Keri felt Shiva’s weight lifted off of her, Ever and Felina pinning Shiva’s arms behind him.
Shiva still hadn’t calmed down from his high, and was snapping at Keri, struggling to get out of Ever and Felina’s strong grasp.
Shiva abruptly stopped struggling, his eyes going back to normal. And he took in how much damage he’d done. Keri’s face was covered in blood, feathers were falling from her wings, she was a mess.
“Keri-”
“Dont Shiva." Keri snarled, chest heaving. "You know what you did. Until you can bring Selina back to life. Dont talk to me, don't look at me, you're lucky I'm keeping your sorry ass in this freakshow."
