Black keys, white tiles, red face.- a Shiveri short story.
Shiva Ekkert was known worldwide for his piano playing.
Most, when they saw him, wouldn't think 'Piano player'- but more along the lines of 'underwear model'.
He had brought piano music purchase rates to a record high in the 21st century, with age groups of all types tuning in to listen to the slow, elegant pieces or fast, upbeat clashes.
Keri Alya was Shiva's girlfriend- a science student two years younger him.
Most- from the way they acted- would think them brother and sister, if not for the fact Shiva had curly raven colored hair and green eyes, while Keri had brown eyes and dishwasher brown hair, always by his side- OR yelling at a fangirl for throwing her bra at him.
The press almost never left the pair alone, and when they did, their time was always burdened by the fact the reporters would show up at any time.
So, today, they decided to take a train going anywhere (don't stop. Believing. Hold on to that feeeeeeeeling).
Shiva missed the feeling of the cold, ivory keys, but nothing compared to his fingers laced him her warm hair as she played on her cellphone, half asleep, laying his chest on the New York metro.
The train slowed to a stop, and a bedraggled looking college student stepped off, and the train spear off again into the dark tunnels.
Shiva shifted at a bit, and Keri looked up at Shiva.
"What are you doing?" Shiva questioned, looking down at the ruby-red phone glowing white in his eyes that had been adjusted to the dark.
"Oh! Shiva! It's a piano game called Piano Tiles 2. You could beat anyone at that." She said.
"Sure." He said with a lopsided smile, taking the phone from her.
She settled on his collarbone as he wrapped his arms around her with the cellphone in front.
He hit 'start' and seemed confused as the tiles suddenly started moving, then flashed red.
"I don't get it."
Keri moved a hand out of Shiva's grasp to point at the screen.
"Touch the black tiles, and keep up." The directions were simple.
"Alright. I can do this." Shiva reasoned.
Twenty minutes later, Keri was in sit he's laughing at Shiva as he was, red faced, trying to get past fifteen tiles.
"Oh my gods! It-It's not even that HARD!" Keri laughed, fingers easily taking her to two hundred + tiles.
"Yes it is! I don't even know how you do that!" Shiva said, watching her fingers like they produced some sort of magic.
"It's so easy!" She said, laughing at Shiva's growing anger.
"It isn't! That's nothing like piano!" Shiva groaned in disappointment
"Mhmm. Riiiiight." Keri laughed. "You're just upset that I'm better at you then something."
"I am not better a-"
"Yes you are." Keri said seriously, not looking away from her screen. She was this close to beating her three hundred twenty six tile record!
"Right." Shiva nodded, putting his face on her shoulder and kissing her.
Keri kissed back, and at that moment, it didn't matter that the screen had flashed red, telling her to start over again.
