As soon as Felina left the building, she eagerly spun around, hiding the bottom of her jacket out like wings.
"We're FREE! And we get food, and new friends! Shiva is the best thing that ever happened to us!" She said happily, hugging his ATMs shortly before jumping away so he didn't hit her. "I wanna sleep under the stars tonight! Then, tommorow, we can go a few towns over, and get a hotel room and get fancy champagne!"

Everest quickly drops the cigarette to the ground and stomps on it, making sure to crush it completely. He then lifts his head back up and smiles. "Oh yeah, I did.." Everest pauses for a moment, before asking, "So now that that's done, where are we off to now?" He was always a curious one.

"Pizza!" Selina piped up with a smile.
"Yup. " Keri agreed.
"Shiva said we'd get pizza so we're gonna do that. Then I guess we'll find a hotel and whoever is willing will come with me to find a job. "

The group cheered, and even Auggie was smiling proudly, not caring one bit that people could see his face.
The walking freak show was headed down the road when Keri finally noticed Ever hadn't covered his tail.
"Hey you need to cover up. I know it's rude and nosy but we really don't wanna get caught."
The group stopped on the sidewalk and Keri removed her jacket, handing it to Ever.
"Think you could tie it around your waist?"

Everest was joyfully walking behind the group, minding his own business, when he was offered a jacket. Keri's jacket. He wondered why for a moment, before remembering that he had a tail poking out from his rear area. Right. He soon apologized for not hiding it before, and did tie it around his waist like a shoelace. He then muttered a "Thanks." Before he continued on with his walking. Geez, one slip-up and they were all dead. Or worse.
Everest didn't want to be the cause of that. They'd hate him.

"Alright! Okay! Let's go!" Felina said, pointing across the street to a strip mall illuminated by neon.
A group of teenagers- fifteen in total- were outside a restaurant, smoking and having what looked like a good time.
"Shiva! You are from out here, right? Tell us the best places and we get to pick!"

Keri eyed the group of Teenagers, making sure the younger kids were behind her.
"Yeah,what's the best place Shiva?"
Two kids were snickering at Auggie, and Keri prayed he didn't notice.
And someone was laughing at the fact Selina was only seven and had grey hair.
Ignore it. Don't notice.
"Preferably a place without meat on their pizzas. " Keri continued.

Perfect answer. It did and didn't answer the question at the same time, and if they bite, they would forget all about it.

Everest heatedly glared at the teenagers, trying his very best not to growl at them. Instead, he clenched his fists, his claws digging into his skin. God, did they irritate him to no end! See, this is one of the reasons why he barely left the river. Ignorant humans and not knowing their damn place. They didn't know what they'd been through, what he'd been through. Pain, suffering, loss..... Well, maybe they did. In their own way. But that did not excuse their behavior. Everest just kept on glaring.

Keri caught Ever's heated glare and nervously kept a pleasant conversation.
"I've heard papa jhons had a pleasant staff! Very nice! What do you think of them Shiva?"

"Yay!" Keri whooped, keeping spirits up.
Normalness. They could do this.
But Keri couldn't help but feel trapped.
She hadn't cut holes in her new t-shirt and she'd given her jacket to Ever.
If they had to bolt at the last second today, they'd have to loose their shirts and no. She didn't want to do that at all.
So of course Keri was on the lookout for potential threats, and ways she could fly and keep her shirt on.

"If those kids do something, I'll handle it. Don't make a scene. Don't attract unwanted attention."
