Everest ducked in as Shiva opened the door, wanting more than anything to get away from those god-awful teens. No beating involved? Well shit. Yes, he knew better than to 'cause a scene', but a side of him wanted to tear them to shreds. The irrational side. The impulsive side. Dare he say- The animal side. But Everest wouldn't let that get the best of him, so he did nothing more than shrug it off. Immediately sliding into the closest booth, he surveyed the look of the pizza place. Artificial lights? Check. Gum under tables? Check. Freshly cleaned floors with the scent that'd give anyone a headache? Check. Menu filled with enticing, calorie filled grease traps? Check. Young, high-school dropout at the cash register who regrets everything? Check, check, check. Everything seemed to be in order. After that, Everest leaned back and propped his legs on the table, relaxing for once. Who cared if it was deemed rude? He didn't.

Ah yes, Selina was still in that phase where she thought she could get adults In trouble.
"Cmon Ever you can't pretend we don't know you. " Keri said, laughing as she pushed his feet off.
"Relax like a normal person. "
Felina and Keei thumbed through the menus while the two younger kids worked away at the coloring books they'd been given, breaking a steady amount of crayons of course.
"Shiva, Ever Are you guys vegetarian or vegan?" Keri asked, scanning the menu for salads or something they could eat.

Some may even consider it a joke- she was part bird- nah. Shiva wasn't great at jokes.

They slurped their sodas and Keri took out the wallet.
"We've got two hundred and eighty seven dollars. How long do you think we can get a hotel room? The cheapest one. "

The waiter came back to the table and Keri ordered two large pepperoni pizzas.

"It's a hundred or so degrees.I wouldnt eat it, but go ahead." He said, pouting to the pizza, leaning back in his seat.

How hot the pizza was wouldn't stop the kids.
They dug in, each eating about three slices at a time.
Food. Real, actual food that wasn't a perfect square.
Selina had pizza sauce all over her face and hands, Auggie was in the same state.
Felina and Keri of course ate a bit slower and in a cleaner way, but Still got in two or three pieces each.

"OMFG! This stuff is awesome!" Felina said, eating as quickly-and as daintily- as she possibly could without spilling in her shirt or jacket.
She looked over and saw Shiva looking at the door, then the staff, then the door
A half-eaten piece of pizza sat on his plate, and was getting colder each minute he scrutinized the lady in jogging clothes ordering at the counter.
"Shiva! Aren't you going to eat?! It's good!" She said, then pointed to his plate. "If you aren't going to eat it, can I have it?"

Keri asked, bringing her eating to a hault for a moment, just to talk to Shiva.
"I'd eat a little bit regardless, we're gonna be walking and flying quite a lot. "
