"I'm not hungry." He said simply.
He preferred his food freshly deceased, but he wasn't going to tell them that.

Everest sat, Everest watched. What else could he do? He could eat... Oh god, his stomach was begging and craving, practically screaming for the fattening cheese and meat. His mind, however, didn't want any part of it. He didn't even know why, but... Just looking at it made him feel terribly sick. It was a war between instinct and reason, and reason seemed to be winning. Though, as Keri had said, he'd need the energy given by the food for the journey ahead. Energy over nausea... Nausea over energy... Why the hell was he feeling this way? What was happening? Is there.... Something wrong with him? Well, yes. There's plenty wrong with this cigarette asshole. But, this.. This was unusual. Just the sole thought of human food made him uneasy, it looked like. Man, and how much he wanted to try pizza again. Not this time. Instead of digging in like the rest, Everest pulled a Shiva and left it alone. Retreating to stare out the window, he wondered if it would always be this way.

"Hey Ever?" Keri asked, taking notice of how upset he seemed to be.
"You okay?" Keri pressed her hand to his head and he felt fine, but he wasn't eating.

Woah! Everest jumped up a little in surprise at feeling a hand press up on him, but soon settled once he noticed it was Keri. Oh, she's worried again. He didn't want her to be so concerned, especially over only him, so he just nodded his head. "I'll be alright." Everest replied quietly, his voice cracking just a tiny bit. Geez, what was with all this inner turmoil? Everest never recalled feeling this before. Maybe, maybe this was all too overwhelming. The people. The interactions. The walking. The worrying. He wasn't used to this. It's been a long time since he was used to anything other than lone survival. Should he leave when they're all asleep...? Make things easier? No. No no no. He can't. He wouldn't. He should just eat the damn pizza, if it would mean any comfort for Keri.

"All the guys aren't eating your pizza! It's not poison!" Feline giggled.
"Let's hurry or the hotel will probably be closed!"

"They won't be closed. Take as much time as you want. In fact, I think we should get that cookie thing to celebrate our first night of freedom!" Auggie and Selina whopped in agreement, getting a few odd looks from strangers.
Keri smiled and finished her fourth slice, and drained the rest of her soda.
The new members of their freak show were odd, they all were. But Keri knew most animal mutant human things-had been treated pretty badly. As far as Keri could think, she wouldn't want to channel those years of neglect onto other people. But she was nïave to think there weren't bad mutants ou there.

"No Felina I'm talking about the pizza thing that's actually a cookie."
"Thats a cruel joke." Auggie muttered, coloring in his book a bit more.

((I'm gonna post this thing I'm writing in a second. I have a love/ hate relationship with it. Will you critique it?)) "Explore and eat? Sounds good to me."
Keri ordered their desert, Selina and Auggie gave their colorings to the manager to hang on the giant wall of drawings, and used change from the meal to buy little toys from the machines by the door.
Keri was given a sense of euphoria. They were like a family. With Keri and Felina like the mother and father or something. I guess Shiva can be the nice uncle who teaches you to use a pocket knife. Keri thought. And Ever can be the weird uncle who no one knows where he came from but he shows up to reunions because why not?
She smiled and the freak show left, walking down the busy streets with a steaming hot cookie in each kid's hand.

((Absolutely~))
Felina had wrapped her cookie up in a napkin and stored it in her pocket for later, and helped Selina with her shiny ring with a blue plastic gemstone.
((BTW- I am so in love with the family thing. I'm dead. Shiva is the uncle who teaches everyone how to use a pocketknife))

The little freak show was almost overwhelmed by all the new sights and smells.
Elegant piano music drifted out of a fancy restaurant, where beautifully dressed men and women ate expensive dishes together.
Bright yellow and red graffiti decorated a building's side.
A boy and girl strolled down the sidewalk opposite of them, hands locked, resting on each other's shoulders.
Muffled electronic dance music blared from a dark club.
This was the city.
And it was all theirs.

Felina's canine had drawn blood long ago as her yellow-brown eyes scanned the streets, and she bit her lip to stop from squealing and spinning on the gum-covered streets, or jump on a wall and sit on th top, watching the stars, and the flashing lights of the airplanes that came around every 45 minutes or so.
She didn't want to look away from the flashing lights of a "OPEN" sign on a white cinder-block wall, advertising cigarette cartons at $4.34 +tax and hot dogs for $2 a piece on Tuesdays.
THey were starting to head into the "downtown" are a of the town, jewelry shops and art shops, storefronts painted pink and green, glass displays showing off costumes and baby clothing.

"Hey look at that." Auggie said quietly, pointing into a shop window. He was pointing at one of those drawings that had triangles and squares making up a weird face thing.
"Oh, didn't Picasso paint those?" Keri asked, examining the painting.
"Hehe look!" Selina giggled, pointing through the glass at the signature at the bottom of the canvas. "Pick-ass-oh!" She giggled again and looked into the store. "We should go in!"
