Keri smiled gently.
"It's okay Auggie you can come out. "
The boy shook his head.
"No!"
Keri shook her head, turning back to the fox.
He was much too odd. He gave her "odd duck vibes" as her grandmother used to sAy.
"Anyways I'm Keri. " Keri extended her hand to the boy, smiling broadly, her wings open behind her in an almost inviting way.

Huh. That was easier than he ever could've thought. Not that he wanted it to be difficult, no. It also didn't mean he was going to let his guard completely down, just as he figured they wouldn't. Everest returned her warm smile and took the offer to shake her hand, his tail raised in a friendly manner. After the hand shaking was established, Everest leaned back a little and surveyed the rest of the group. Another bird girl, a cat girl, and... Hm? What exactly was he? Everest had no clue. It'd be rude to directly ask however, so he'd keep that for later. If there even was a later. "Care to introduce me to the others?" He asked the girl rather kindly.

Keri nodded again and stepped back.
"This is Selina, my baby sister. " Keri said, resting her hand on Selina's shoulder.
Selina flicked her dark blue wings with a big innocent smile.
"Nice to meet you sir!"
"This is Auggie. Come on Auggie wave. "
Auggie poked one of his hands out from his wings, waving weakly.
Keri felt horrible, she wished he wasn't so self concious. He was still beautiful even after he'd been burned.
"And this is Felina. " Keri gestured to Felina, who waved sweetly.
"I call us the Freak Show. But you can say whatever I guess. "
Keri smiled again at the stranger, gracefully masking the fact she'd kill him on the spot if he tried to hurt anyone.

Everest nodded at each one introduced, waving and such when he felt the need to. Well, so far so good. He didn't know whether he were good at deceiving, or if they were just too naive. Either way, it sure worked and that's all that mattered to him. Everest didn't plan on hurting anyone, as there was no reason to, but he needed money. He needed better shelter. He needed good food. He needed company. And he needed to find his siblings, and quite possibly Yana. This group was his ticket to all of that, so he wasn't giving up easy. With that intention and that intention alone, Everest asked a much important question. "So, where are you headed? You must have a thought out plan after escaping the lab, don't you?" He wasn't sure if just that one word would trigger anything, but he wanted to find out. Curiosity killed the cat, but did it kill the fox?

"We're going to get pizza!" Selina squealed.
"After Shiva takes us to get clothes of course!"
Selina smiled brightly, the thought striking her all too late.
"Would you like to come with us?!"

Shiva watched silently, hands crossed.
He didn't approve of half of what happened, and how Keri was so trusting, but he knew he would end him if he did anything to any of them.

Ah, the young girl spoke first. Her voice was all too cute, making a light chuckle escape from Everest's throat. "Pizza? That sounds pretty good. I haven't had that in a while..." He trailed off, remembering the last time he had anything 'good.' When was it? Where was it? Well, he couldn't recall it. Not that it was important. But now came the part he'd been waiting for. Would they let him join their little skulk, or would he remain a lone dog fox? He hoped to any god that existed for the latter.

Keri was having a pretty bad internal conflict.
To let him join or not?
Oh what the hell? This was freedom god damn it, Keri was gonna decide who they hung out with. He was a hybrid, and a fox at that. Worst case scenario, he starting singing that song everyone hated now. They were snakes and birds. They could take him any day. Hopefully.
"You can come with! Waddya say Selina?"
Selina fist pumped, grinning with childish excitement, especially considering how she'd never trusted anyone at the lab.
"Yay!"

Was this actually happening? Was he being accepted? Everest felt like pinching himself a few times, but that'd be strange without context. Instead of that, he stood smiling wide and waiting for the rest to begin walking, so he could follow. Innocently, he winked in the snake boy's direction. Everest didn't know if he noticed, but he didn't care either way. Shiva, was his name? Interesting. If he could recall, wasn't that the Hindu god of destruction? He wondered if that meant anything.

The group had made their way to the goodwill, and they'd gotten some odd looks. But not too many to get the cops involved.
Selina was satisfied with a pair of sneakers and a sun dress that looked like the night sky.
They'd found a nice bookbag, that Keri would obviously take care of.
Auggie was having a bit of trouble finding clothes, but he had covered up his horns.
After a bit he got a t-shirt with some sort of video game character on it.
That left Selina and Keri, who thumbed through clothing on the racks carefully.
Keri had grabbed a black skirt and a shirt with a unicorn on it that said "i want to believe", along with a t-shirt and jeans.
"Okay. " Keri said, Ever and Shiva were off looking for clothes and the two girls had to get essentials.
Underwear, notebook, various things they'd need on the road.
