Selina pushed her plate away, somewhat angry.
"Why don't they give us as much food as last month?!" She whined.
"We've been quiet! It's not our fault Shiva died!"
Keri gave Shiva a nervous sideways glance, hoping that didn't offend him.
"Just how it is darlin' " Keri said, stroking her sister's hair.
"We'll get more food next week. " though, there was uncertainty laced in her voice.

He remained silent throughout the meal, looking around the room for plans of escape.
It was always good to have open options.
"LINE UP!" A guard shouted. "FAST, MUTTS!"
Shiva had no comment for the man. It was true. He was a mutt.
But the guard smelled annoyingly like B.O., so that made him feel better.
He kept his head low, and silently cursed Keri out as she started yelling at the guards for calling them mutts, saying something about how they were 'humans too' and they were 'equal'
Eventually, he lead them back to the large room, and by that time, he had found three exits.
It was as if his mind wouldn't stop filling his head, filling in what was quickly fading, memories of Sahara and Mitsouba and- and-
He cringed internally.
WHYWHYWHY?!
His anger was erased when the door to their room was open, and the heater was lying on the bottom of his crate, sending up a toxic smell of burnt plastic.
"Always a fucking problem with these mutts." He muttered, and went to go send up the alarm.
"Escape will not be tolerated. We only do-" the woman rambled in his ears.
Sorry, robot lady. He was gone.
No one saw him move, he was in the back of the sorry Exuse of the line, head down, then he was mid-air, lashing out a tornado kick to the guard's head.
He didn't have time to press the radio's button.
No alarm sounded.
Just as Selina said. She would invite the pervy video camera guy to lunch, to leave his post empty.
He stared unblinkingly at the unconcious man, and heard the sudden uproar of Keri shouting.
He looked away from her shocked face- he wasn't absorbing anything she said- and pointed to the ceiling, where, ten feet up, a air vent sat.
"Break that, take a left and break that vent and you're free."

Selina and Auggie looked terrified, but Felina and Keri followed directions, nodding silent thank you's to Shiva.
Keri broke the vent and lifted Selina and Auggie up, then boosted Felina on one knee.
"Cmon. " she whispered to Shiva, gesturing to the broken vent.
"You gotta Come with us!"

"Alright." He said after a moment's hesitation.
He jumped in to the vent, which had been tightened as much as possible to prevent escape, but with his narrow frame, he could make it through.
He was fine with tight spaces.
"One you escape, fly three feet above the ground. It's the weapons blind spot. I can make it out fine, get them away."

"Where should we meet you?" Keri asked, flattening her wings aginst her back, shimmying quickly behind Shiva.

He thought a bit.
He had no idea what to do after the initial escape.
His Over obsessive mind hadon't thought that far.
"You go ahead without me." He said. "I'll be able to find you." He said.
"I can track your scents."

"You confuse me. " Keri said with a smile, before she dropped out onto the lawn of the lab.
This deffinetley beat their initial plan, which included somehow obtaining a helicopter.
Keri did a tuck and roll onto the grass, and retrieved her friends.
"We gotta go. Felina get on my back. We're gonna have to fly. "
Keri heaved her friend onto her back, running as fast as she could with another person on her back, and she took off into the air, Selina and Auggie next to her. Selina's blue feathers almost foreign in the plain grey sky of California.

Shiva clung to the wall, barely holding on to the shingles.
He jumped back into the vent, and then popped open the vent, and grabbed the small green bag Selina had left.
He jumped out, and took off faster then he thought he ever could into the grass, and hid in a tree.

Felina was thrown way out of her comfort zone.
Miles in the air, with only two handfuls of gown to hold on to?

Keri nodded, and the group dove into some trees, resting in the branches of a big oak.
Keri set Felina down, flapping her wings a bit, simply because she was free once more.

Selina was soaring next to their tree, allowing herself to fall and catch herself as she almost hit the ground.
"We're free!" She squealed, hovering near her friends.
"I told you Keri! I told you Shiva was from the outside!"
Even Auggie was smiling now, and everyone could see his face.
But he didn't seem to care.
